1                                      2                                  3

Halloween is the one time of year you can dress as some of your favorite characters from TV shows, movies, and comic books and not get weird looks from your peers. So down below, I have counted down some of the most popular geek costumes. So if you're looking for some major inspiration, read down below, and let your geek flag fly! I hope you enjoy!

1. Poison Ivy

1                                        2                                        3

This is one costume that everyone will know exactly who you are. Everyone's heard of Poison Ivy (nope, not the plant) but the sexy, redhead villain from the Batman comics.

To get her look put on a form-fitting green dress, some green tights, and green pumps. Finish the look off with some temporary red hair dye, green and gold eyeshadow, and red lipstick.

2. Lara Croft

                1                                      2                                     3

Everyone has heard of the legendary Lara Croft, she kicks butt and looks amazing doing it. She has even been portrayed in movies by the amazing Angelina Jolie.

Lara's look is really simple and pretty easy to wear. Grab a black tank top, some army green shorts, knee-high combat boots, a gun holster, and some toy guns (such as airsoft), we don't want anyone getting hurt.

3. Hermione Granger

            1                                               2                               3

Hermione Granger is one of the most popular girls among the geek culture. She's best known of course for playing a sassy wizard in the Harry Potter trilogy.

For her look grab a grey sweater, button-up white top, a stripe tie (if you can find one in red and yellow), a grey skirt, some black tights, and Mary-Janes. Of course don't forget your wand!

4. Wonder Woman

           1                                     2                               3                            4

Wonder Woman is the most known female superhero and why not? She's incredibly beautiful and strong and is an amazon.

Now you don't need to go all out for this look, go for something more like a red peplum tank, blue skinny jeans, red boots (if you can find them), a star belt, gold earrings and a gold star necklace.

5. Harley Quinn

             1                                   2                               3                            4

Harley Quinn is one of the most known female villains in the comic book world. She's known for loving and standing by Mr. J or the Joker and avenging Batman for his death. All in all though, Harley still manages to keep a pretty cool looking style.

Start off by putting on a red or black bustier. Then grab yourself a pair of black and red pants (they do sell these!) and then finish the look off by putting a pair of thigh-high black boots. Also add a choker and any other spike accessories you may own.

For the makeup and hair, start off by putting on a ton of black eyeshadow (think Taylor Momsen) then put on some red lipstick. For your hair, dip dye one end red and the other black.

6. Ramona Flowers

1                                                    2                                         3

Ramona Flowers is the really cool and bright colored hair protagonist in the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World series. She's known to be sarcastic, but loving and of course she has her 7 deadly exes.

Ramona's look is a very fun and bright look to try. Start off by grabbing a parka, then grab a hoodie and your favorite band tee, finish the look off with some bright shorts, tights, knee-high boots, goggles, fingerless gloves, and of course hair dye (temporary of course).

7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

1                                                         2

What can get more Halloween-y than dressing up as a vampire slayer? Throughout the show Buffy showed some pretty amazing outfits, while slaying vampires of course.

For Buffy's look, start off with a simple trench coat, then add a crop top, a mini skirt, and some platform boots. Of course, don't forget your stake, I mean it is Halloween anyway, who knows when a vampire just might pop up.

8. Velma Dinkley and Daphne Blake

Velma and Daphne are two of the most popular female characters in TV cartoon history. Daphne's of course known for her looks and stylish outfits, while Velma's more know for her smarts and of course "Jinkies!" As well as her loss of her glasses.

For Velma's look start off with an orange sweatshirt and a red skirt, finish the look off with some orange knee-high socks and red Mary-Janes. Of course don't forget or lose your glasses!

For Daphne's look, start off with her signature purple dress. Then add pink knee-high socks or some pink tights (totally optionally). Lastly, add some purple flats, a purple headband, and of course her green scarf.

9. Sailor Moon or Serena

1                                   2                                        3

If you have not heard of Sailor Moon, shame on you! Sailor Moon was a TV show about a young girl named Serena, who was quite ditzy but was actually the ruler of the moon.

Serena has had many signature attires, such as her school girl outfit, sailor moon transformation outfit, and her pink dress from when she was younger on the moon.

For Serena's school girl look, start off with a white button-up shirt, then add a blue cardigan and red bow tie. Finish the look off with a blue skirt and some red converse. If you want to add a little sailor moon in there, add some white gloves and put your hair into two long ponytails.

10. Jessica Rabbit

    1                                                2                                         3

Jessica Rabbit is the most scandalous cartoon, but she promises she was just drawn that way. She is most known for being the wife of Roger Rabbit, as well as her super sultry attire. She is always seen to be wearing a bedazzled red/pink dress, long purple gloves, red pumps, and her long red hair covering an eye and over one shoulder.

Your look doesn't have to be as sultry as her's, but if you want feel free to, it's Halloween. This look can be simplified by just a bedazzled bodycon dress with some red pumps. Grab yourself some purple gloves and put your hair over to one shoulder. If you're really feeling like Jessica, dye your hair temporary red and put on some purple eyeshadow and red lipstick.

11. Cosima Niehaus from Orphan Black

1                                               2                                             3

Cosima Niehaus is the incredibly smart and stylish clone from the new show Orphan Black. She's got an amazing style that is a mixture of eclectic and bohemian.

For her look start off with a dark red bodycon dress. Then add some lace tights and a skull scarf. Finish the look off with her signature glasses and loads of bracelets. If you're feeling real daring, dread your hair for the full Cosima look.

12. Abby Scuito from NCIS

             1                                                2                                             3

Have you ever wanted to dress up as a goth for Halloween, but had no idea what to wear. Worry no more and check out your friendly goth from NCIS, Abby Scuito! Abby's well known for her smarts, as well as her dark and gothic fashion.

To achieve Abby's look, start off by getting yourself a white lab coat or blazer, whatever you have. Then add a spiked choker (black of course). Put on your favorite LBD and add some fishnet tights (ripped would be the best) and then put on chunky boots or Dr. Martens. Add other accessories such as a watch or spiked bracelet.

For the makeup and hair, pull your hair into two side pigtails and give yourself some Bettie Page bangs. For the makeup, rim your eye with dark black eyeliner, on the top and bottom and then put on some red, black, or oxblood lipstick.
